Quick & Easy Air Fryer Salmon
Juicy on the inside, lightly crisp on the outside—this air fryer salmon is ready in just 6–11 minutes and is sure to become a go-to favorite!
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- Pinch of ground ginger (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the salmon: Pat fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer: Line the basket with foil for easier cleanup. Preheat to 400°F (about 3 minutes, depending on your model).
- Make the glaze: In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together brown sugar (or honey), Dijon, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ginger if using.
- Glaze the salmon: Spoon the mixture evenly over the top of the fillets.
- Air fry: Place the fillets in the basket, ensuring they don’t touch. Cook for 6–11 minutes depending on thickness (1-inch thick fillets typically take 8–9 minutes). Check frequently towards the end.
- Tip: Salmon is done when it reaches 145°F. For best results, remove it a few degrees early and let it rest—carryover heat will finish the job.
- Serve: Transfer to a plate and enjoy hot. Add a final sprinkle of salt and pepper if desired.
