For the Dough:

  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm plant milk (soy, oat, or almond)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • ½ cup vegan cream cheese
  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast (for cheesy flavor)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Topping:

  • 1 tbsp plant milk (for brushing)
  • Black sesame seeds or poppy seeds

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm plant milk and olive oil, knead until smooth. Let rest for 45–60 minutes, covered.
  2. In another bowl, mix spinach, vegan cream cheese, nutritional yeast, and garlic. Season to taste.
  3. Divide dough into small balls, flatten each one, add a spoonful of filling, and seal the edges.
  4. Place on a parchment-lined baking tray, brush with plant milk, and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
